Eeewww! Not Smart!

I saw something disgusting that shows my tortie cat, Baby, is not the smartest kitten of the bunch. Some background: Baby loves my black cat Simon. She will snuggle with him, even if he doesn't want to. Simon will growl at her, but Baby will ignore him until he gives in and grooms her. She will push in to get his food, but he won't get upset. He will just back up and watch her devour his dinner. I think he lets her get away with too much.

Here's the gross part. I happened to be near the litter box when Simon decided to use it. This is a rare sighting as I never see him go. Right while he was in the middle of doing his stinky thing, Baby came running in and started to sniff his behind! Simon, still in his squat, started to growl at her but he really couldn't do anything about the intrusion of his backside. I went over to grab her so Simon could poop in peace but I was too late. Just as I was pulling her away, she was hit on the head with a brown bomb. Eeewww! I had to wash her head off several times with soapy water until the stink was gone.

Like I said: Not the smartest kitten of the bunch.

New Year

Wow, it's been a while since I posted. The holidays were hectic, but fun, and now things are back to normal. Normal except for the weather. Like many places all over the country, we have had a larger than normal amount of snow. Our area has already gotten a full season's worth of the white stuff. As I am posting now, we are under a blizzard watch.

Update to my last post in November: I never saw Miss Blues again. I hope she is safe and warm during all this weather. Someone posted in Craigs List about a stray that may have been her, but an email I sent to inquire was not answered.
